Quality watchdog finds problems in H&M sweaters

SHANGHAI'S quality inspectors found some sweaters sold in a local H&M store have quality problems during a recent check.

The H&M Divided Sweaters for men were found to contain less fiber content than indicated by the label, the Shanghai Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision revealed.

The H&M Boni Wool Sweaters were found to contain an excessive amount of formaldehyde, officials said.

H&M, the Swedish fast-fashion clothing company, has been on the bureau's black list several times. The company once argued that its EU quality standard is different from that of China.
