Rail ticket outlets to increase
THE railway authority in Shanghai plans to increase the number of ticket outlets in the city.
Currently there are 189 ticket outlets in the city, more than double the 90 there were in 2005, Shanghai Morning Post reported today.
The authority aims to reduce the number of tickets sold at Shanghai Railway Station and Shanghai South Railway Station by half, letting the stations focus more on customer service.
Railway ticket outlets have a service charge of 5 yuan (US$0.73) on every ticket.
