Readers to vote on city's top 10 news
Readers are being invited to pick the year’s 10 biggest local stories for the third annual Top 10 Shanghai News Stories Selection, which is jointly organized by Shanghai Daily and International Channel Shanghai.
Readers can vote, starting today, at www.shanghaidaily.com/topnews2013 and choose 10 stories from a shortlist of 20 that they think have the biggest impact on Shanghai this year.
They can also scan the QR code below to make their picks.
The stories cover city news, business trends and government policies.
Highlights of this year’s big issues include the opening of the Shanghai free trade zone, the longest and hottest summer in the city since 1934, more than 10,000 dead pigs found in the Huangpu River and the extended 72-hour visa-free policy.
Voting forms are also available at Shanghai Exit-Entry Administration booths in the Pudong New Area.
The deadline to vote is December 27 and the final results will be announced on December 31.
Fifty participants whose picks match the final results will be invited to an award ceremony held by Shanghai Daily and ICS early next year.
