HONGKOU District police have nabbed three suspects who allegedly sold rented cars repeatedly, earning a total profit of 1.86 million yuan (US$272,386). Starting in April, the suspects rented 19 cars from individuals or car renting companies and sold them to dealers for 50,000 yuan to 80,000 yuan each. Twelve out of the 19 missing vehicles were recovered when the gang was caught last month.
