Road, bridge work begins

CONSTRUCTION on an extension of a major local elevated road connecting to Hongqiao International Airport started yesterday in a move expected to boost traffic flow in the city's western area. Also yesterday, work started on a new bridge to span the Huangpu River and connect towns in Songjiang and Jinshan districts.
