Roads jammed as fire rages in local sawmill

A fire broke out at a sawmill in Shanghai's Baoshan District this morning and about 100 firefighters are still battling the blaze that started at about 2am, according to a report on eastday.com.

The firefighters rushed to the plant at 3999 Changzhong Road in 30 fire engines, but it proved difficult to put out the flames because of strong winds brought by Typhoon Bolaven.

The report said the fire has caused severe traffic congestion on nearby Changzhong Road, Hutai Road and Shourenqiao Road.
