S. Korean student dies at Jiao Tong

A YOUNG man from South Korea who studied at a university in Shanghai is believed to have committed suicide on Sunday, school and police authorities said yesterday.
The man is said to have hanged himself on Sunday afternoon in a student dormitory at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, school officials and police officers said.
They gave no other details about the man's death.
The student's relatives are on their way to Shanghai.
University officials promised to properly deal with the incident and assist the student's family.
They added they would improve psychological counseling services for students.
