Sanitation truck slams into 4 road workers

FOUR road workers were knocked down and injured by a sanitation truck on Jungong Road in Shanghai's Yangpu District this morning. They are being treated in hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
The workers were hit near Gongqing Forest Park around 8:30am. A witness said the four were unable to move after they were knocked to the ground. Long brake marks were visible on the road at the scene, the witness added.
Two workers sustained head injuries and require CT exams.
Yangpu police said the sanitation truck first hit a road work vehicle parked along the side of the road and then the four workers.
Police said their investigation will continue.
