Shanghai CPC Congress concludes, new committee elected

THE 11th Shanghai Municipal Congress of the Communist Party of China ended today with the election of a new CPC Shanghai Committee.

The city's new Party leaders will attend a press conference around 5pm at the Expo Center in Pudong.

During the five-day congress, delegates passed a report by the 10th committee to review its work in the past five years and set new goals for the next five years.

A total of 810 delegates took part in the congress.
