Shanghai TV to shine globally
SHANGHAI Media Group, one of the country's largest media corporations, has signed with Singapore-based My China Channel to partner projects to bring quality China content onto the world's stage.
The signing took place during the Asia Media Festival last week in Singapore.
Wings Media, the distribution arm of SMG, signed a co-production contract with My China Channel to produce two infotainment programs titled "China Trend" and "Foreigners Living in China," and distribute them jointly to the global market.
Production teams from SMG's International Channel Shanghai will be working together with Singaporean producers to enhance the shows' international flavors.
Wings Media and My China Channel have also penned another memo of understanding to jointly aggregate and distribute the best of Chinese drama and movies with established television networks around Asia.
