Shanghai uni to launch US branch
A SHANGHAI university plans to lead the city's schools in launching a branch in the United States.
Shanghai Filmart Academy will set up the branch in Los Angeles and start recruiting students next year, today's Oriental Morning Post reported.
Alan J. Bailey, a senior vice president of Paramount Pictures Corporation, will be the director, the newspaper said.
The school will focus on 3D design such as that used in the hit movie "Avatar," which has so far earned US$1.3 billion worldwide.
