FOREIGNERS and Chinese people born in other parts of China but now living in the city are being invited to take part in a singing contest for "new Shanghainese" as part of the Shanghai International Arts Festival.
People who are interested can sign up at the Changfeng Culture Center in Putuo District by September 26.
The top prize is 5,000 yuan (US$734) and the chance to perform at charity events in the city three times a year.
