LOCAL singles are invited to a matchmaking party in Pudong on May 25 and prizes are offered to induce them to play fun games. The event at the J-Mall on Shangnan Road is expected to draw about 200 people
The event organizers, Shanghai Morning Post and Pudong J-Mall Co Ltd, hope the party will give participants a chance to find future spouses.
White collars, especially women, have problems finding a mate due to limited social circles and unrealistic expectations, according to the Shanghai Matchmaking Association.
This past Saturday, about 200 people showed up at a similar matchmaking event organized by Shanghai Morning Post and Pudong J-Mall Co Ltd. A man and a woman from the Huamu area in Pudong won prizes for popularity and outstanding performance in games.
