HUNDREDS of Elaphe carinata, a breed of snake, were seized by Jinshan District police yesterday. Police found the snakes in a van on the A4 Expressway.
The snakes were sent to the Shanghai Zoo while the case is investigated by the district's wildlife protection authority, police said.
