Songjiang police search for hit-and-run driver

A hit-and-run driver abandoned his Buick sedan in a residential block in Songjiang District after hitting two cars and a tricycle yesterday evening, Shanghai police said.
A Jiuzhou Datang Garden resident surnamed Peng said he saw the silver Buick drove into the complex around 7pm. The driver looked upset and tried to find another gate to escape.
A moment later, another car rushed in and its driver was yelling, "Stop the Buick! Stop the Buick!"
Realizing that it was impossible to drive further, the Buick driver abandoned his car and ran off on foot.
The chaser told the residents that the Buick hit his car on Husong Road and tried to run away. In its hasty escape, the Buick hit another car and a tricycle.
Police confirmed what the driver said and are still searching for the Buick owner. No casualties were reported in the hit-and-run accident.
