Stars to host kid visits
ONE hundred stars from the fields of sports and entertainment are planning to host 10,000 children from poor families and disaster-affected regions in a visit to the Expo.
They include pianist Lang Lang, basketball player Yao Ming and singer Jane Zhang who will devote a day to helping make the World Expo trip available to more vulnerable groups in the community.
And like-minded people with a warm heart and who want to have close contact with the stars will get a chance to participate as volunteers in the charity program.
The organizers said the applicants should be born before May 1992 and are willing to undergo relevant training.
Those with experience as volunteers will be favored.
The chaperones will be responsible for maintaining control, managing pavilion access issues and taking care of the children during the program.
Details and forms are available on 2010.qq.com/expo-stars; e-mail applications to expo-stars@qq.com.
