Street patrols will continue
SHANGHAI police said yesterday they will continue with the beefed-up street patrols that were in place during the World Expo to improve public security.
Police said 325 police stations have established control centers across the city and the monitoring system can cover the whole city with 42,000 surveillance cameras. Police said they will also improve cooperation with other departments to assure quick response times and improve law enforcement.
