Suspect in fatal fight arrested

A SUSPECT was detained yesterday in the stabbing death of a South Korean man during a dispute at a restaurant in suburban Songjiang District, Shanghai police said.
The incident happened on Wednesday night at an unidentified restaurant on Kungang Highway in the Xiaokunshan area, police said.
The suspect, surnamed Gu, was annoyed by the noise at a neighboring table where the victim, surnamed Hong, was sitting.
The quarrel between Gu and Hong escalated into a fight. Hong was stabbed by Gu and fell, bleeding, while Gu fled, police said.
Hong was pronounced dead at 11pm on Wednesday at a hospital, police said.
Gu was caught by police about 10am yesterday at a downtown neighborhood.
The case was still under investigation, police said.
