Suspects of over 40 burglaries in Shanghai arrested
SHANGHAI police said today they have seized two suspects for a series of burglaries in the city recently.
The suspects, caught in a raid on May 11, are linked to more than 40 theft cases which totaled more than 500,000 yuan in stolen properties. Most of the burglaries happened in Putuo District in the past two months, police said.
The two men, who are not identified, are unemployed and were sentenced to prison before for stealing.
They met again this year to pick up their old trade, the police said.
They would burglarize a home in about 10 minutes, normally in old residential buildings, the police said.
