Taste Life In Suburbs
THE Shanghai Tourism Administration has designated five families in the suburbs as the pilots of the "suburban life experience" project during the 2010 World Expo.
Visitors will get the chance to cook authentic Shanghai countryside cuisine, enjoy farmers' paintings and play ancient games with the families.
The five families are from Jinshan District, in the Langxia and Fengjing areas.
The project will later be expanded to other districts, officials said.
Expo-designated tour agencies, such as Jinjiang International Travel Service Co. Ltd and Shanghai China International Travel Service Co Ltd, will promote countryside packages to Expo visitors next year.
