Taxi on fire in rear-end accident inside tunnel

A taxi caught fire after rear-ending a car in a tunnel in Yangpu District this afternoon.
The mishap occurred around 1pm in the Handan Road Underpass near the Wujiachang area and the tunnel was filled with thick smoke, witnesses said.
A person who claimed to be sitting in back of the taxi said that the taxi bumped into the rear of a car in the underpass and then started burning.
"Luckily I was not injured," the passenger claimed online.
Police are still investigating the cause of the accident.
