Teacher rips ear part from girl, 7

A SEVEN-YEAR-OLD girl has had five stitches to repair her left ear which was torn apart by her English teacher at a primary school in Jiuting Town, suburban Songjiang District.
The teacher said she ripped the girl's ear because she was too naughty in class, today's Oriental Morning Post reported.
She had apologized to the girl and her parents, officials with Hongxing School told the newspaper.
Officials described the case as an accident, adding that the teacher had been performing well in the past decade.
The girl's parents, from southwest China's Sichuan Province, are migrant workers working in Shanghai.
