Police said a local woman surnamed Zhang was cheated of about 620,000 yuan (US$90,844) by suspects imitating a police officer, a China Telecom employee and prosecutor. The suspects phoned Zhang, claiming she had been involved in a criminal case and asking her to transfer the money in her bank account, police said. The case was still under investigation.
