THE Shanghai People's Congress is the city's legislation body, while the Shanghai Committee of Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference is the city's top political advisory body.
The annual sessions - known as "The Two Meetings" in Chinese - are the most important occasions for the legislation and political advisory body representatives to meet with the public and, based on what they hear, raise legislation and policy -suggestions with the city government.
