THE Israel Pavilion is a 2,000-square-meter space in Zone A, near the pavilions of Sri Lanka and Pakistan. The theme is "Innovation for Better Life."
Today is its National Pavilion Day and performances feature the theme "Spirit of Israel," including tenor David D'or, the children's dance group Hora Efrochim and professional dance troupe Hora Jerusalem, one of the best in the country.
The pavilion, with two streamlined buildings hugging each other, resembles a seashell, one side made of stone and the other of transparent glass.
The pavilion features innovation and ancient Jewish culture in three sections.
The Whispering Garden is an orchard that greets visitors at the entrance. The Hall of Innovations, the centerpiece in the pavilion, presents an audiovisual show of people from Israel on hundreds of screens.
The third section shows Israel's innovations and technological achievements on a 15-meter screen.
