Twin shops brother over credit scandal
A TWIN brother called Shanghai police when he found his elder brother owed more than 13,000 yuan (US$1,903) on three credit cards in his name.
Victim Zhu Qiang discovered his brother Zhu Jun had applied for three credit cards in his name in May, Oriental Morning Post reported today.
Zhu Jun, 25, applied for an ID card in his brother's name in November 2008 and used it to apply for credit cards from nine Chinese banks, including Ping'an Bank, Guangdong Development Bank and Pudong Development Bank, which later issued the cards.
Zhu Jun, who once worked in an insurance company, owed more than 70,000 yuan to seven banks with his credit cards, the report said. He found it difficult to apply for more credit cards in his own name to meet his spending.
