Two road crashes in Jinshan kill 2, injure 6

TWO vehicle collisions left two people dead and six injured on the Tinglin-Fengjing Highway in Jinshan District last night.
The accidents happened at the intersection of the highway and the Fengjing Railway overpass. First, a van braked too late and hit a vehicle in its front. The van was heavily damaged, killing two people in the van and wounding six others.
Soon after, two cars collided head-on as one car tried to skirt around the tragic scene. Fortunately, no one was injured in the second accident.
Police said icy road surface and faster speed were the cause of these two accidents. There was snow in Jinshan yesterday afternoon.
Police reminded drivers to keep a safe distance from vehicles ahead and limit their speed.
