Woman held on credit charges
A WOMAN has been detained for alleged credit card fraud after she used them to withdraw more than 170,000 yuan (US$25,000) without paying anything back, police said yesterday.
The woman, surnamed Wang, 56, had been given a suspended one-year sentence last month for cheating banks out of 38,000 yuan. However, police soon found out that Wang had also taken money from other banks.
