Woman killed as truck hits moped, 2 hurt

ONE woman was killed and another two people were injured after their moped was hit by a construction truck this morning in Songjiang District, police said.

The crash happened about 10:40am at the intersection of Renmin Road and Ledu Road, police said.

The truck hit the moped when it made a right turn, police said. There were three people riding on the moped.

Police said the truck driver has been taken away for questioning as they suspected the truck had violated traffic laws when making the turn.
