Work Gets Under Way At Two More Pavilions
CONSTRUCTION began yesterday on the Pakistan Pavilion and an Information and Communication Pavilion to be built by China Telecom and China Mobile.
Pakistan is to replicate its famous ancient fort in the city of Lahore, which dates back to 1025 and is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The 2,000-square-meter pavilion will showcase the diversity of culture, tradition, modernity and history in the cities of Pakistan.
The 6,196-square-meter telecom pavilion will take visitors on an interactive journey exploring cutting-edge information and communication technologies, their applications and influence over the next 10 years and how they will help usher in a more convenient and better life.
