Worker dies in elevator plunge

A WORKER was killed yesterday when an elevator plummeted to the ground at a construction site in Fengxian District.
The elevator dropped from the seventh floor in a building under construction about 11:40am, work safety authorities said. The 44-year-old worker inside the lift was pronounced dead at the scene. Initial investigations said loose bolts may have been a factor.
