Elite entrepreneur club will be formed

SHANGHAI will establish an elite startup entrepreneur club to encourage more young people to launch their own businesses in an effort to promote job growth as the economy slows.
The Shanghai Human Resources and Social Security Bureau said the club would provide lectures on government policies and business practices, media visits and business mentoring.
Initially, the club, which doesn't have a name yet, will comprise the winners of an entrepreneur contest held every two years.
Yesterday, the bureau launched its third elite entrepreneur contest. Anyone who has set up their own business in Shanghai within the past five years can enter the contest.
Ten winners will be announced in August.
The club will be launched soon after the winners have been announced.
They will be tutored by business leaders in their industries and given chances to study at the MBA center of Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
