Expo volunteers to get job help
THE city will start a three-year campaign to help World Expo volunteers find jobs, government officials said yesterday.
Officials said 3 million yuan (US$451,430) will be invested in the program. Among the 200,000 Expo volunteers, nearly 130,000 are university students. More than 20,000 will graduate next June. The city plans to hold three job recruitment fairs for the student volunteers annually. The first job recruitment fairs for volunteers will be held on November 3, with 2,000 job vacancies provided by about 200 firms.
