THE city is to inspect safety measures on at least 20 school buses from four schools every month by the end of the year, education authorities said yesterday.
Shanghai has about 2,000 school buses owned by more than 250 kindergartens and primary and secondary schools. Inspectors checked 34 buses from five schools, including an international kindergarten in Qingpu District, and found problems such as an unqualified fire extinguisher and broken tail light.
