Work starts on New York Univ. campus in Lujiazui

CONSTRUCTION of the Shanghai campus of New York University got under way today.
The 64,500-square-meter campus in the Lujiazui financial zone will have a 15-floor main building with a six-floor annex, a library and a lecture hall. Total construction cost will be around 2.2 billion yuan (US$345.7 million).
New York University Shanghai is a joint venture between East China Normal University and New York University.
Though the new campus wont' be ready for use until June 2014, the school will start enrolling undergraduate students next year, officials said.
