Authors find the write stuff in Shanghai


FIVE overseas writers have been invited to live in Shanghai for a two-month writing project and cultural exchange.

They are Tash Aw, British writer of "The Harmony Silk Factory," Norwegian novelist Ragnar Hovland, Greek novelist and poet Alexis Stamatis, Irish novelist, playwright and documentary maker Conal Creedon and Irish poet Leanne O'Sullivan who is just in her 20s, Xinmin Evening News reported today.

They will share their thoughts with local writers including Wang Anyi, Zhao Lihong and Chen Danyan during their stay.

This is the second year of the cultural exchange, run by the Shanghai Writers' Association. It ends on October 31.
