'Jack Reacher: Never Go Back' to hit local cinemas

HOLLYWOOD actors Tom Cruise, Cobie Smulders and film maker Edward Zwick were in town this afternoon to promote their latest action-packed spy thriller "Jack Reacher: Never Go Back."

The film, a sequel to the 2012 acclaimed production, will hit cinemas across China with both 2D and IMAX version on October 21, simultaneously with its release date of North America.

Cruise said he had received special body training for the movie. He loved playing exciting action scenes of car race and crash.

"I love this character, a classic American hero," he added. "It is a very entertaining movie."

Director Zwick said that Cruise always worked hard and they shared the passion for film.

Cruise also received a painting of him with China's mythological hero the Monkey King as a gift from Shanghai Film Group Corporation.
