Museums reach deal to work together
TAIWAN'S Palace Museum is to collaborate with Shanghai Museum and the Palace Museum in Beijing after agreements reached during the museum curator's first trip to the Chinese mainland.
Chou Kung-shin, the Taiwan museum's curator, said the collaboration would include the exchange of proposals, scholar visits, Website links and academic research.
But Chou wouldn't reveal any details about a possible on-loan exhibition from the Taiwan's Palace Museum for the 2010 World Expo in Shanghai. There are rumors that a copy of the masterpiece "Along the River During the Qingming Festival" from the museum might be displayed.
"Sorry, it is not time to mention any further exhibition right now," she said at a press conference at Shanghai Museum, "What we reached are basic fundamental things between the two museums."
