Night cruises along Suzhou Creek to start next month

SCENIC night cruises along Suzhou Creek are expected to start next month, with one-way tickets costing 70 yuan (US$10), 20 yuan higher than day cruises, to help cover the cost of landscape lighting along the creek, Putuo District government said today.
Officials said the lighting project will be finished soon, and the night ferries will be launched when they win approval from transport authorities.
The tour will pass through 16 specially lit spots from Moganshan Road to Changfeng Park. The route will be about 10 kilometers long, said the district government.
Cruises began earlier this year along Suzhou Creek, with boats operating as public transport and sightseeing tours.
