Park joins creek for boating fun
PLEASURE boats will sail directly along the Suzhou Creek to Changfeng Park from next year.
With a budget of 18 million yuan (US$2.63 million), Changfeng Park is to expand its area to reach Suzhou Creek, the Putuo District Garden Construction Development Co said yesterday.
Streams in the park will join the creek to let visitors on pleasure boats and yachts on the creek to cruise into the park.
Yinchu Lake in the park will become part of Suzhou Creek's sightseeing route.
The park's Tiebi Hill will be landscaped in the reconstruction.
The 10-month renovation project will be complete by April next year.
To celebrate its new look, the park will hold a dragon boat race during the dragon boat festival in May.
