Disney Resort unveils designs
THE Shanghai Disney Resort yesterday released detailed designs on two hotels and its shopping, dining and entertainment district within the resort.
The major hotel of the resort will be the 420-room Shanghai Disneyland Hotel, an Art Nouveau-inspired hotel.
The 800-room Toy Story Hotel is inspired by the toys from the Disney’s Pixar series of Toy Story animated films, the resort said.
Both hotels will offer a range of entertainment and leisure options, the Disney resort announced.
Disneytown — a shopping, dining and entertainment district — is located near Shanghai Disneyland with a village and the excitement of an international crossroads. It will feature more than 46,000 square meters of dining, shops and a world-class theater.
The natural Disneytown’s Lakeshore provides beautiful views, sunsets, and the waterfront dining.
Marketplace, located at the heart of Disneytown, is for families and will have specialty shops with Disney merchandise.
Next to the Marketplace will be the Spice Alley, which will have a variety of popular Asian cuisines.
The Beverly Hills shopping streets, the classic Broadway Boulevard will feature stylish boutiques. Guests will discover an exciting array of popular labels and trendsetting products, the resort said.
The Walt Disney Grand Theater will bring world-class entertainment to China.
