City has light pollution due to windless weather
SHANGHAI is lightly polluted today due to less wind and people with respiratory problems and weak immunization system are advised stay indoors, the Shanghai Environmental Monitoring Center said.
The city's PM2.5 density was 116 micrograms per cubic meter in Putuo District at 8am today, much higher than the nation's acceptable daily limit of 75 micrograms.
The level of air pollution started to drop afterwards and fell below the daily limit at noon.
