Country park set for colorful debut
THE first phase of Langxia Countryside Park in Jinshan District will open to the public next week.
Described as the first of its kind in the country, the green space will feature more than 8,000 maple trees, rolling hills, pick-your-own fruit fields and lots more besides, an official said.
The opening of phase one has been timed to coincide with the maple leaves changing color, from plain green to beautiful bronze, he said.
Subsequent phases will include cafes and restaurants, and even places to stay, he said, adding that admission to the park will be free for all visitors.
