KANGJIAN Park, about 5 kilometers from Xujiahui area, will be turned into the city's first low-carbon park, said local authorities yesterday.
All the lighting facilities will use energy saving lamps and a system to collect solar energy and rain water will be set up. Aquatic plants will be grown in the park's wetland area to improve its ecology.
