LOCAL people are again being asked to participate in an online vote to select the most influential people in the city’s international community.
For the second straight year their opinions will help to determine the winners of the Shanghai International Excellence Awards, an event which is jointly organized by Shanghai Daily and International Channel Shanghai.
Nominees can come from all walks of life, with previous recommendations being image ambassadors, community organizers, sports stars, cultural and education workers, opinion leaders, charity workers and environmental activists.
The 10 people who receive the most votes will be honored with awards, all of which are presented at a special ceremony organized by the two media organizations.
To nominate a worthy person, send their profile — including a photograph, full name, nationality, occupation and brief introduction of his or her contribution to the city to events@shanghaidaily.com or excellence@ics.smg.cn.
