15% of students too fat to pass fitness tests
FIFTEEN percent of local university students are too fat, education authorities said after a fitness test at the weekend.
Some 2,080 students from 52 local colleges took part in the tests at Donghua University on Saturday.
Physical fitness and health was declining as they grew older, officials said. Most universities required freshmen and sophomores to exercise in the morning, while juniors and seniors tend to get up late and seldom exercise.
