Bacteria killer

EAST China University of Science and Technology has developed a disinfectant which can kill 99.99 percent of legionella bacteria in air conditioning and heating systems.

The disinfectant can also be used to kill bacteria, fungi, algae in water in hospitals and swimming pools. The legionella bacterium can cause legionnaires' disease, which is a type of pneumonia. The disease was first identified in the United States back in 1976.
