Buzz off mosquito apps

CITY experts have said many anti-mosquito apps are useless in preventing mosquito bites during the plum rain season.

Some mobile software developers released apps which they claim create sound waves that deter the insects. But according to Leng Peien, an official at a local disease control and prevention center, all the noise does is irritate people.
