Charity surgery for girl from remote area

A 12-year-old ethnic Buyi girl from the mountain areas in Guizhou Province received a charity surgery yesterday from Shanghai Huamei Plastic Surgery Hospital to remove the scars left by an accident on her face when she was baby.
The burned scars were left on Wang Congjiao's right forehead and right lower jaw when she was not yet one year old. Wang's father died when she was three years old. She is now living with her grandmother as her mother was mentally retarded.
After learning Wang's situation from the Shanghai media which went the remote area last year for a charity program in Guizhou, a local charity organization and Consular Spouses Shanghai, joined hands to help bring Wang to Shanghai for the surgery.
