City reports two more H7N9 cases, both females
SHANGHAI today reported two new cases with H7N9 bird flu infection, making the total number in the city reaching 15 cases including five deaths.
Nine patients are isolated for treatment, while a 4-year-old boy was discharged with recovery today, said Shanghai Health and Family Planning Commission.
Both the new confirmed patients are Shanghai females. One is a 76-year-old retiree and another is 81-year-old farmer.
Both patients' close contacts are under medical observation without showing flu-like symptoms so far, said the city government today.
